The Ducks will be going in for their annual spring scrimmage on April 27. Gabriel will be seen on the field for the first time as the Oregon quarterback after his transfer from Oklahoma. Now, he has hilariously backed his pet dog to play for the team.

Here are the snaps shared by the Oregon Ducks star Dillon Gabriel, featuring his girlfriend Zo Caswell and furry friend Winston.

“Getting our boy Winston ready for the Spring game this Saturday. He’s still deciding between RB, WR and TE,” a part of the caption read.

Gabriel joked that Winston could give his teammates Jordan James, Tez Johnson and Terrance Ferguson tough competition on the field. He admitted that the player he was proposing lacked in size but also argued that it wouldn't matter as he would be playing a skill position. To hammer his joke home, the QB also tagged offensive coordinator Will Stein for taking a look at his petition.
