Keisean Henderson, the No. 4-ranked QB per On3 Industry Ranking, has been committed to Houston since May 2024, but he has still been visiting campuses. However, as he was set to visit Florida State on June 9, Henderson shut down his recruiting, Hayes Fawcett of On3 reported Thursday.

“I felt the love from day one and I feel like there is nowhere I would rather be," Henderson said about Houston.

Henderson is from Houston, Texas, and will stay close to home in college. Per On3, he's the No. 2 player in the state. He was the MVP of the Navy All-American Bowl in 2025 as he scored on two of his three drives at quarterback.

Florida State won the Atlantic Coast Conference two years ago but didn't make the College Football Playoff, in large part due to the injury to starting quarterback Jordan Travis.

In 2024, the Seminoles struggled, going 2-10. They are looking to improve and put together a better performance in 2025. Ahead of the season, Mike Norvell has confidence in his group to have success and compete for a playoff spot this season.

"I'm proud of this place, I'm proud of our program, and the work that we're putting in and I'm excited about where it's going," Norvell said, via News4JAX. "It's one of those things, you never get too high when you're living high and obviously when you get knocked down it's about how quick you can get up and continue to push moving forward.

"We are moving forward, and I have great expectations for what's in front of us. We're going to work every day to go make that our reality."

Norvell believes the young players have developed well and are ready to take another step next season. But Florida State will have a tough test right out of the gates, as the Seminoles open their season on Aug. 30 against Alabama.

The Seminoles will have notable games against Miami, Pitt, Clemson, NC State and Florida.
