College football fans are torn after Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles landed another top prospect in the Class of 2026.
Norvell has done a good job with recruitment as the Seminoles landed four-star receiver Brandon Bennett, according to Hayes Fawcett. Bennett chose the Seminoles over the likes of Florida and Georgia.
After it was announced Bennett committed to FSU, college football fans had divided views.

"Absolute Dawg! Go Noles," a fan wrote.
"You mean he could’ve gone to Georgia and instead went to TallahASSee? Good player but goddam, even Florida would’ve developed him better," a fan added.
Many fans were surprised Bennett picked FSU over Georgia or Florida, as they thought those schools would develop him better.
"Not SEC material," a fan wrote.
"Committing to 2-10 is crazy ngl. Enjoy mid," a fan added.
According to 247Sports, Bennett is the 39th-ranked receiver in the Class of 2026 and the 218th-ranked player nationally.
"Excellent decision young man over Kirby Crime Academy," a fan wrote.
"Kirby in a locker by FSU now LMAO," a fan added.
Last season, Bennett helped lead American Heritage to a Florida 4A championship. He recorded 24 receptions for 509 yards and seven touchdowns.
Mike Norvell has high expectations for Florida State
Mike Norvell is entering his sixth season as the head coach of the Florida State Seminoles.
Norvell is coming off a terrible 2-10 season after going 13-1 and winning the ACC the year prior. However, Norvell and FSU didn't make the College Football Playoff due to the injury to quarterback Jordan Travis.
Entering the 2025 season, Mike Norvell is in the hot seat, but he has confidence in himself and the team that FSU will be much better.
"I'm proud of this place, I'm proud of our program and the work that we're putting in and I'm excited about where it's going," Norvell said at a press conference, via CBS Sports.
"It's one of those things, you never get too high when you're living high and obviously, when you get knocked down, it's about how quick you can get up and continue to push moving forward. We are moving forward and I have great expectations for what's in front of us. We're going to work every day to go make that our reality."
However, Mike Norvell and Florida State will have their hands full as the Seminoles will open their 2025 college football season on Aug. 30 against Alabama.
Florida State has notable games against Miami, Pitt, Clemson, NC State, and Florida.
