Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders and the rest of the Sanders family are typically quite involved in their community. Coach Prime has helped at many football camps over the years, often making appearances and speaking with young athletes.
On Saturday, a series of photos were posted from a camp featuring former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders. He was captured taking photos with dozens of children from Cleveland. Sanders was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the 2025 NFL draft.
After these images were posted, Deion Sanders' ex-wife and Shedeur's mom, Pilar Sanders, reposted the post to her Instagram story. In the caption, she wrote about how the Sanders family had summers like that for many years.

"Cuz it is what it is no matter what!" Pilar wrote. "Yes son! Our summers and home looked like this for so many years! People just don't know!"

Despite the complicated QB situation with the Browns, Shedeur Sanders appears to be getting involved in the community. He is keeping a positive attitude despite the stiff competition for playing time among the QBs in Cleveland.
Shedeur Sanders is coming off a strong final college season in Colorado, where he completed 353 of 477 passing attempts for 4134 yards and 37 touchdowns. He was widely expected to be a first-round pick but fell to the fifth round, where the Browns finally took him.
Sanders is now competing for playing time with Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel. Flacco and Pickett are NFL veterans who were brought in by the Browns this offseason. Gabriel was selected by the Browns in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft.
Shedeur Sanders stays positive in Cleveland while his father, Deion Sanders, deals with health issues
While Shedeur Sanders is in a complicated situation in Cleveland, his father, Deion Sanders, is dealing with far more serious issues. Deion has dealt with many health issues related to blood clots over the past few years. Notably, he was forced to have two toes on his left foot amputated in 2022. He had another procedure to relieve clots in 2023.
Deion Sanders is now dealing with health issues again. He missed the annual Colorado summer football camps in early June because he was in Texas dealing with his health problems. Although he did not get into details about the severity of his health issues, Coach Prime later thanked everyone on social media for the support and promised he would be back.
