Raising Cane's is adding quarterback Drake Maye to its staff for a day in Detroit, Michigan. The fast food giant announced on Instagram that former North Carolina Tar Heels QB Drake Maye will be working at its food truck in the city on Tuesday.

Detroit will be hosting the NFL Draft this year from Thursday, April 25 with a lot of talent on the board. The QB draft class is especially bulked up with talents like Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Maye being a part of it. Before the draft frenzy begins, the former Tar Heels star will be working a shift at Raising Cane's food truck on Gratiot Avenue.

Here is the social media post confirming the NIL engagement which was re-shared by Drake Maye himself.

Raising Cane’s boasts of many NIL deals with draft prospects as Jayden Daniels and Marvin Harrison Jr, who have big deals with the fast food chain. Maye has been the highest-paid NIL athlete from the Atlantic Coast Conference and has an On3 valuation of $1.2 million. So it is natural for the brand to capitalize on the star power right before the draft.

Maye had a stellar college career with the Tar Heels, establishing himself as a premier QB in this year's draft class. He is expected to go off the board as a top five pick on Thursday.

Before Drake Maye, Angel Reese worked a shift at Raising Cane's ahead of the WNBA Draft

Athletes working a shift with the fast food chain isn't something new. Before Drake Maye, it was Angel Reese who did it ahead of the WNBA Draft earlier this month. She worked a shift at a Raising Cane's restaurant in New York in the build-up to the draft day.

The brand shared a video on Instagram which showed Reese behind the counter taking orders and calling out the customer names when the orders got ready. According to the women's basketball star, she wanted to inspire young girls to achieve anything in life.

Apart from Drake Maye and Angel Reese, NFL-bound stars like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jayden Daniels have also participated in the collaboration in the past. Now it remains to be seen how they all do on the draft night in a couple of days.
