Coach Prime Addresses Shedeur Sanders' NFL Draft Speculation

Deion "Coach Prime" Sanders sets the record straight on Shedeur Sanders' NFL draft controversy. On Wednesday, in an interview with the “DNVR Buffs Podcast”, Deion clarified why he did not mention specific NFL teams that he would not want his sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, to play for.

During the interaction, Ryan Koenigsberg asked Coach Prime about reports that he would dictate which NFL teams could draft his sons. Deion clarified that it was not about the teams he would sign off on,

"I do know, and you got to understand, I would never come out and say where I don't want them to go, and I would never highlight where I would want them to go,” Deion Sanders said.
“Although there are many owners that I'm very fond of, that I have a relationship with. I really think, and I know that they desire to win and win it all." [Timestamp - 4:32]

It seems Deion has significant influence over his son Shedeur's draft destiny. He has already made it clear that he does not want Shedeur to play for a team located in a cold-weather city. This is because Shedeur grew up in Texas and has only played in warm climates such as Jackson, Mississippi, and Colorado.

This has led to speculation that Deion is controlling Shedeur's NFL plans and dictating which team he should play for.

Coach Prime maps out six dream teams for son, Shedeur Sanders

Deion Sanders had his sights set on the perfect teams for his quarterback son Shedeur Sanders, and Buffaloes' two-way star, Travis Hunter, to join in 2025.

His six teams included the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, Baltimore Ravens, and Atlanta Falcons.

Coach Prime also considers the Philadelphia Eagles to be a “good fit”, despite the presence of talented quarterback Jalen Hurts, a challenge for Shedeur to start as an NFL quarterback.

However, Sanders is confident that both Shedeur and Hunter will be top draft picks, possibly being selected “anywhere from one through four” in the 2025 draft.

Ultimately, the outcome of this decision will depend on the draft process and whether any of these six teams decide to take a chance on Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur.
