Despite quarterback Shedeur Sanders putting in a stellar performance, the Colorado Buffaloes fell 37-21 to the Kansas Jayhawks in Week 13. Shedeur continued his good form registering 266 yards, resulting in three touchdowns in the loss that jeopardized the Buffs' chances of making the Big 12 Championship game.

The game was heated and Shedeur bore the brunt of the physical Kansas players, with Colorado's offensive line unable to protect him, when Jayhawks defensive end Dean Miller put in a late tackle at the quarterback's knees in the second quarter.

Controversially, the play was not deemed a foul and Shedeur's ever-supportive mother Pilar Sanders commented, asking a question:

"Whos that player again plz."

Many fans trolled Pilar for her question in the comments section:

"Tf you going to do? 😂," a fan commented.
"Your son got folded like a lawn chair," a user said.
"That dam near ended your sons career lol," another user wrote.

Shedeur Sanders disagrees with Coach Prime after Kansas loss

The Colorado Buffaloes had been on a decent run, tallying four consecutive wins before the clash against the Kansas Jayhawks. The Buffs, led by quarterback Shedeur Sanders had become the toast of College Football with the chances of making the Big 12 championship game in their own hands.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders commented on his team's mindset post-game:

“We started smelling ourselves a little bit. We got intoxicated with success. We got intoxicated with the multitudes of articles and the assumption that we were this and the assumption that we were that and we did not play CU football."

During his post-game news conference, Shedeur Sanders said:

“Personally, I’m just an overconfident person myself. So I can’t spot that on anybody else and say they’re overconfident. I’m not sure. We all did our job preparing and doing that, so whatever people did in their personal side, like mentally, you won’t be able to know, we won’t be able to know.
"I’m focused on plenty of other things than how somebody is thinking at all times."

Shedeur Sanders has shown confidence in his abilities in the past and the crucial season-ending game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys will be another chance to show Coach Prime that the team has not gotten complacent.
