College football fans are frustrated with former Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty for not knowing who Vince Young was.
Jeanty was born in Florida but played high school football in Texas. Given that he was raised in Frisco, Texas, many expected him to be aware of the history of the Longhorns.
While on the "St. Brown Podcast," Jeanty was asked about Young and said he didn't know who that was, instead thinking that the interviewer was asking him about Donovan McNabb.

It was a tough scene, and immediately, many fans took aim at Jeanty for not knowing who Young is.
"Wow these young guys don’t respect the game," a fan wrote.
"It’s kinda offensive they don’t know how Mcnabb look," a fan added.
Ashton Jeanty was born in 2003, while Young played at Texas from 2003 until 2005, so he wouldn't have been able to remember watching the quarterback play.
"bro this is insane," a fan wrote.
"From TX and didn’t know VY?!?!," a fan added.
Vince Young is one of the best Longhorns quarterbacks ever, so despite not seeing him play, many thought Jeanty would know who he was.
"How tf you from Texas and not know VY," a fan wrote.
"Football player don’t know his history sad!," a fan added.
Many college football fans are annoyed that Jeanty doesn't know some of the legends in college football and its history.
However, Ashton Jeanty was likely focused on his game and trying to be the best football player he could be. He ended up being a star running back and college and was selected sixth overall in the 2025 NFL draft by the Las Vegas Raiders.
Ashton Jeanty is making a significant change ahead of his NFL career
Despite Ashton Jeanty being one of the best running backs coming out of college in years, he is making a change to the way he plays.
As Jeanty arrived at Vegas for rookie minicamp, Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly wanted the running back to change his stance, which he says he will do.
"You know, sometimes you have to, you know, go with the flow," Jeanty said on Up & Adams, via NFL.com. "What's crazy is, Chip Kelly comes to me first day of rookie minicamp, and he's like 'You ever play basketball?' And I'm like, 'Yeah, I play basketball, you know I can dunk and all that.'
"He's like, 'OK, show me how you would guard me,' and he's acting like he's holding the ball. And then he's like, 'That's exactly why you have to be down in your running back stance."
Jeanty says he will do whatever the coaches think is best, as he wants to be the best NFL player that he can be.
