After Colorado's 28-10 loss to Nebraska in Week 2, quarterback Shedeur Sanders voiced frustration with his offensive line, suggesting it played a major role in the defeat. Fans, though, aren't impressed with Shedeur placing the blame on his teammates.

He had questioned the protection gap, asking:

"How many times did [Nebraska quarterback Dylan] Raiola get touched?" during postgame comments.

His remarks sparked criticism from fans, with some pointing out that blaming teammates, especially as a leader, can reflect poorly on him.

As Shedeur prepares to face Colorado State in Week 3 on Saturday, fans have been vocal on social media, noting that such behavior could harm team morale and show a lack of maturity.

Other fans also seem unhappy over the Buffs QB comment:

“Retarded nepo baby,” another fan wrote.
“Coach 30 had a lot to say about you,” one wrote.
“…and then with a couple minutes left, just leave,” a fan wrote.

After Colorado’s Week 2 loss, the Buffs QB addressed the team's running game and the need for a balanced offense. He explained that a strong running game opens up the passing attack, but it’s about playing to the team’s strengths.

"So, it was like, why would we keep running the ball if we are out there and we get in a situation where it's a must-get and we don't get it?" he questioned.
