The Navy Midshipmen hosted the No. 25 Tulane Green Wave in a battle between two teams on opposite sides of the line of being ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll.
Tulane (8-2, 6-0 AAC) entered the game on an exceptional winning streak, winning its last seven games after dropping to a 1-2 record early in the year. The Green Wave beat Temple 52-6 last Saturday.
Navy (7-2, 5-1) had a good season before this game. On Nov. 9, the Midshipmen defeated South Florida 28-7.

It was expected to be a tightly contested matchup ahead of the game, but Tulane was the favorite. The Green Wave were given -275 odds, and the Midshipmen were +220 underdogs. However, that did not end up being the case, as Tulane shut out Navy 35-0.
