Max Johnson’s UNC debut didn’t go as planned. Months after breaking his femur, he’s back on the field, getting summer reps as he works toward a return.

Meanwhile, Adrienne Davis, the girlfriend of the UNC quarterback, posted Instagram clips on Monday from the 2025 CMA Fest in Nashville.

Davis appeared in multiple outfits alongside two friends, with captions including:

“CMA fest!!!!” and “Thank you for having us Nashville.”

Her boyfriend, Johnson, suffered a season-ending injury in the third quarter of UNC’s 2024 opener against Minnesota. The transfer QB finished with 71 yards, one interception and a 50.7 QBR, per ESPN.

Johnson wrote he's "grinding" and "looking forward to the season" in an April social media post.

Adrienne, Max Johnson’s girlfriend, shared photos from a recent beach trip to Antigua and Barbuda with friends earlier this month.

She captioned:

The couple previously traveled to Las Vegas to celebrate her graduation from Georgia College and State University. She also posted images from Boston and Cape Cod and joked about Johnson’s plain burger order on social media.

They made their relationship public on Instagram in 2024 and marked their first anniversary in October. Johnson is recovering from a season-ending leg injury. UNC head coach Bill Belichick said Johnson is progressing and may compete for the starting quarterback job.

Adrienne runs a YouTube channel with her sisters and has worked with platforms like Funniflix and MattyB. Her parents, Amy and Bryson Davis, have backgrounds in business and run Davis & Co.

The 2025-26 season opens Monday, Sept. 1 at 7:30 p.m. ET, when UNC hosts TCU at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill. The game will air nationally on ESPN. It marks the first regular season Monday game in program history.
