Missouri Tigers head coach Eliah Drinkwitz fired back at critics with a bold post-game comment following a tough 34-0 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday. Drinkwitz took to the podium and defended his team, saying:
“I saw a bunch of guys who were beat to c**p go out there and fought their b*tt off. There wasn’t anything similar to Texas A&M at all,” Drinkwitz said. “We fought our b*tt off.”

He also addressed senior quarterback Brady Cook's status after he injured his right hand in the second quarter. Drinkwitz explained that Cook underwent X-rays, and the medical team decided he couldn’t continue safely. Cook had completed seven of 12 passes for 30 yards before leaving the game.
In closing, Drinkwitz said the Tigers won’t be pointing fingers and will not “divide.” He said that they'd "go home, get healthy” to keep the Tigers' playoff hopes alive.
With a bye week ahead, Missouri is gearing up to take on Oklahoma at Faurot Field on Nov. 9.
Eliah Drinkwitz was caught on video venting his frustration at Alabama players
Missouri coach Eliah Drinkwitz was caught on video venting his frustration at Alabama players during their game in Tuscaloosa, where Alabama secured a 34-0 homecoming win.
The incident happened in the first quarter after Alabama’s LT Overton was flagged for a personal foul following a hit on Missouri quarterback Brady Cook. The play had some confusion, as Cook seemed to think it was dead, but no whistle was heard, leading Overton to continue and tackle him. Officials called a delay-of-game penalty on Missouri and a personal foul on Overton.
Drinkwitz was visibly upset, especially given that Cook was already playing through a high ankle sprain from the previous week. Later, Cook suffered a hand injury after hitting a lineman’s helmet, forcing him to the locker room for an MRI, which ruled him out for the remainder of the game. He completed seven of 12 passes for only 30 yards before leaving.
