“Why does he get hate?” — Brian Kelly’s daughter Grace Kelly comically defends LSU HC over failed dad jokes over the years

Grace Kelly doesn't understand why her dad Brian Kelly gets all the hate for his jokes. In a video shared by the LSU Tigers, the football head coach’s daughter hilariously defended her father over his failed dad jokes over the years. She also had a little message for the haters.

Coach Kelly has been known to crack a few jokes every now and then, but they do not always land very well with the fans. The Tigers made a compilation of his jokes from over the years and made Grace react to them. Here is the video of her reaction:

According to Grace Kelly, she isn't surprised anymore by the hate that the LSU Tigers head coach Brian Kelly gets for his comedic timing. The compilation also contained the viral Columbia joke that he made before the trip to Missouri back in October 2023. Some fans called it the worst joke in the history of jokes, but according to his daughter, that is what he would have said to her as a kid.

“Why does he get hate for that joke? Everyone loves a good dad joke,” she said in his defense.

As for the haters, Grace Kelly has just one message for them. ‘Keep typing’ she says. Coach Kelly will be returning with his Tigers this fall for some exhilarating football in Baton Rouge. And he is not expected to give up his habit of dropping dad jokes.

When Brian Kelly set a bald eagle free in the wild

In February, LSU released a video of Brian Kelly releasing a once-injured bald eagle into the wild. The school's veterinary medicine wildlife hospital treated the majestic bird back to full health in three months after finding it injured. Coach Kelly took the bird along the Mississippi River in Baton Rouge and set it free. The video understandably went viral on social media:

While Coach Kelly was praised for his act of kindness, the college football world did not let go of the opportunity to have some laughs. The fans made some jokes, including someone suggesting that he probably screamed at the bird to get it out of the cage. Another fan took it as an announcement of Coach Kelly taking over the Boston College Eagles. Whatever he does, the laughs and jokes tend to follow him.
