India's record in ODIs here was mixed, having won just 7 matches out of the 16 played here.
But more than the statistics, the venue has seen great moments in Indian cricketing history.
Sunil Gavaskar got his 10,000th Test run here against Pakistan in 1987, VVS Laxman made his Test debut here against South Africa in 1996, and none can ever forget India's cracking World Cup quarterfinal win over Australia at this very ground in 2011.
The venue last hosted a match featuring India in 2014.
