This venue in Amritsar played host to two India matches in 1982 and 1985, against Sri Lanka and New Zealand respectively.
The hosts won both those matches by 78 runs and 6 wickets respectively.
However, post that, with the emergence of venues like the Sector-16 stadium in Chandigarh as well as the PCA Stadium in Mohali, this ground has not had the opportunity to host any more international matches.
Manoj Prabhakar took the only five-wicket haul at this ground, picking 5 for 33 against New Zealand in 1995.
