West Indies bowler Anthony Martin would not have expected things to go the way they went against Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean T20 tournament, 2012. After winning the toss, Trinidad & Tobago had chosen to bat first against the Leeward Islands and their openers completely backed the decision to bat first.

Lendl Simmons and Adrian Bharath put on 111 runs together in the first 12 overs of the match. Middle order batsmen Darren Bravo and Kieron Pollard made sure that Trinidad reached a total of 211 in 20 overs.

Leeward Islands bowler Anthony Martin had a disastrous game as he conceded 70 runs in his 4 overs and without a wicket to his name. Martin had gone for 17.50 runs per over as he was whacked all-round the park by the Trinidad batsmen.

In reply, the Leeward Islands total was not even more than the runs conceded by Martin as they were bowled out for a shocking total of 44. Trinidad & Tobago had won the match by a massive margin of 167 runs, adding more misery to Martin’s night.
