The wise old man of Indian cricket, Ashish Nehra has had a career in cricket which he would surely tell his grandkids about in future.

Nehra was brought back specifically to play T20 cricket

For his story has been no less than a fairytale. Having made his international debut in 1999, Nehra has suffered multiple injuries, particularly to different parts of the foot that have derailed his career on more than one occasion.

But the Delhi cricketer battled his way through those injuries and in January 2016, was picked in the T20I squad for the tour to Australia. For those who followed the IPL and his exploits over there, would not have been surprised, but for others, his inclusion might have seemed like a backward step.

He managed to play consistently for 4 months and then got injured again, ruling him out for the rest of the year. He returned to the fold again this year in the series against England where he put up a commendable performance.
