#4 Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin is a legendary cricketer as far as the sub-continent conditions are concerned. But the question mark over his career always has been his performance outside of Asia.
The 32-year-old Chennai lad made his debut in 2011 against West Indies and since then has picked up heaps of wickets in Test cricket. So far in 64 test matches, Ashwin has picked up 336 wickets. A lot was expected out of Ashwin in England tour, where surprisingly conditions were spin friendly. But he failed miserably. Moeen Ali was picking up wickets for fun in that series whereas Ashwin was struggling.
This tour of Australia is an acid test for Ashwin. He has not made his mark as a world-class spinner outside Asia yet. So this is his probably last golden opportunity to do so.
When India will be touring to Australia next, Ashwin will be about 36 years old. The way young wrist spinners are moving up the rank, it will be extremely difficult for him to keep his place in the team. Kuldeep and Chahal have already replaced him in T20Is and ODIs.
