#2 Parthiv Patel

Parthiv Patel made his Test debut way back in 2002 against England. A 17-year-old baby-faced Parthiv became Test Cricket's youngest wicketkeeper when he was handed the Test cap at Trent Bridge.
With the rise of MS Dhoni, Parthiv's opportunities faded. Parthiv Patel is 33 now, and it is highly possible that he will not be touring Australia next time around. Parthiv last toured Australia in 2003/04, where he scored 160 runs in 6 innings. His performance was even better than Adam Gilchrist in that series, where the latter only scored 96 runs.
He has got runs in domestic cricket continuously. He has batted mostly in the middle-order, so he can replace anyone who fails in the middle.
Probably in his last tour of Down Under, Parthiv's past experiences of playing in Australian conditions may come in handy. Also, he can be used as the opening option if any of the openers fail to deliver.
