The South Africans were heartbroken as D/L cost them the semi-final of World Cup

Before rain hit the match, South Africa looked set to make it to the final of 1992 World Cup by defeating England. The match was played at the Sydney Cricket Ground and was a bizarre match as at one stage South Africa needed 22 runs in 13 balls with 4 wickets in hand and a few minutes later it became 22 off 1 as D/L was applied after the rain.
