One of India's best ODI players of all time, Raina would have started to think of his chances which sound too bleak to make the cut in India's ODI squad for the World Cup. It might be safe to say that he failed to convert the opportunities that have come his way. It was a lucky break for the left-hander when he got the call to India's ODI squad against England in the summer earlier but he failed miserably to cling on the No.4 spot.

It is highly certain that the Southpaw has had his time with the national team and will climb an uphill from hereon to stage a comeback any time in his career. A worthy all-rounder who can bowl few overs of off-spin is what is required by India of any batsman in the top four batting slots. However, with the probable players in the reckoning for the World Cup next year, Raina doesn't find his name for any of the available spots in the XI.
