They got their associate member status in 1974 and made their ICC tournament debut at the 1979 ICC Trophy that was held in England. The team that is governed by the Argentine Cricket Association, has Daniel Sutton as their coach. Esteban Alfredo "Billy" MacDermott is regarded as an Argentine cricketing legend.
