Pakistan left -arm spinner Abdur Rehman was barred from bowling when he bowled 3 waist-high full tosses in as many balls against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup match that held today. He was not allowed to bowl in reminder of the match according ICC Law 42.6.b. Click here to read more about the incident.

In doing so, Abdur Rahman has beat Kenyan leg-spinner Collins Obuya’s 8-year-old record of having conceded most number of runs without bowling a legal delivery in an ODI. Obuya had conceded 5 runs and ended up with figures of 0-0-5-0 in an ODI against Bangladesh, that was held on August 13, 2006 at Nairobi.

Two other bowlers, Pakistan’s Mansoor Akthar and West Indies’ J Adams, ended up with match figures of 0-0-1-0 against West Indies and Zimbabwe respectively.
