Bangladesh vs Afghanistan 2019

5 Sep 2019

A Bangladesh vs Afghanistan series is scheduled to be held in Bangladesh in September 2019. The series is scheduled to be hosted by Bangladesh, who will play the newest test team for the first time in their history against Afghanistan. This Ban vs Afg 2019 series will consist of two matches for the Afghan team, that is one against the Bangladesh Cricket Board XI (two day match) and the other against the Bangladesh National team (Test Match).

This BAN vs AFG test match will also see the Afghan Spinner Rashid Khan as the skipper of the team, as he has recently been appointed as the captain of the Afghan team in all formats of the game. Also, the former Afghan captain Asghar afghan has been made the vice captain of the team. However, the other members of the team haven’t been named yet.

The Bangladesh team, which played its last test back in February 2019 against New Zealand has also not finalised the squad for the series yet. However, it is speculated that the team would be led by Shakib al Hassan as he is now fit to play, instead of Mahmudullah, who captained the squad for the first two matches against New Zealand.

The Afghan team will be playing their first test match in Bangladesh, which is scheduled to be held at Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. Afghanistan will also play a two day match prior to this test against the Bangladesh Cricket Board XI at M. A. Aziz Stadium in Chittagong. This will be their first match in Chittagong as the Afghans have never played in Chittagong so far.

The past records of BAN vs AFG matches also show that both teams have surpassed each other in different parts of the game as and when required.
