The modern-day master Virat Kohli has been criticized for his overseas performances in the past. He is one of the finest players to have represented India and was named the Cricketer of the Year for 2017. Kohli is a match winner in Indian conditions but is he really an ordinary player in alien conditions like England, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand? Let's have a look at his statistics.

Virat Kohli in Australia

Australia is one of the favourite places for Kohli to play cricket. He was named India's regular captain on the tour to Australia when MS Dhoni announced his retirement after the 2nd Test of the series.

The quick pitches of Australia suit Kohli's style of playing. In the 2014/15 tour, he smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground with his drives, cuts, pulls and sweeps. Virat has played 23 one day internationals in Australia and has scored 1001 runs at an average of 50.05. Kohli had a dream series back in 2014/15, scoring 4 centuries in 4 Tests. He has scored 992 runs in 16 Test innings at a breathtaking average of 62.

Kohli likes to take on challenges but playing in Australia is no more a challenge for the great man.
