Bangladesh Premier League 2018-19, Match 39: Dhaka Dynamites vs Comilla Victorians - Preview and Predicted Playing XI

With only four more matches left in the league stage of this year's BPL, it has come down to the wire for Dhaka Dynamites, who started their season in terrific fashion with four straight wins, but have now slumped to a position where they have to win one or both of their matches to just make it to the play-offs.

While they have the team to achieve the target, they face a formidable Comilla Victorians side that has been ruthless over the past few matches with Evin Lewis scoring a brilliant hundred against Khulna a few days ago.

Comilla have already been assured of a place in the top four but a top two finish would certainly be in their radar. With a lot to play for on Friday, this match is sure to be cracker of a game for all of us to witness.

Dhaka Dynamites

Batting:

Shakib Al Hasan and Rony Talukdar have done the bulk of the scoring for the Dynamites with the likes of Andre Russell and Sunil Narine chipping in with a few cameos.

Shakib has scored in excess of 250 runs and will be key for Dhaka, who need a win to stay on course for a top four finish.

Nurul Hasan's batting abilities are being wasted down the order and has to be promoted up the order, possibly to number three or four with Rony opening the batting with Narine.

Bowling:

Shakib has led the line-up in the bowling department as well with seventeen wickets to his name. The introduction of Andrew Birch has brought in much needed balance to the side with Dhaka now fielding three good pacers in Russell, Birch and Rubel Hossain.

Sunil Narine picked up two wickets against the Vikings and would be one to keep an eye on.

Comilla Victorians

Batting:

With Evin Lewis injured, Tamim Iqbal and Anamul Haque should open the batting with the likes of Kayes, Shamsur and Dawson in their ranks.

Their batting depth is astonishing with Bangladesh all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin slated to bat at number eight. Tamim scored a mature fifty in their previous match and should be one to watch out for against the Dynamites.

Bowling:

Shahid Afridi and Saifuddin have been Comilla's best bowlers with 15 and 13 wickets to their name this season. They have been ably supported by the likes of Wahab Riaz and Mahedi Hasan Rana, who performed admirably in the reverse fixture.

Thisara Perera provides another bowling option in the death at Kayes' disposal.
