The best comments of Virat Kohli caught on stump mic
Taking Dean Elgar's case on numerous occasions
In the second innings of the first Test against South Africa in 2018, Rohit Sharma took a brilliant low catch at gully to send Hashim Amla back to the pavilion. It was a tight call and the umpires went upstairs. The third umpire gave it out because the soft signal by the on-field umpire was out. After that incident, the left-handed opener called Rohit a cheat.
It was very clear that Kohli did not like Elgar’s comments as he began to have a go at the opener. When Elgar was batting in the second Test, Kohli kept shouting, "you call people a cheat, you called Rohit a cheat" from the slip cordon. Elgar was struggling to put his bat to ball in the second innings and on some other day, would have been dismissed by R Ashwin ten out of ten times.
He was lucky to see off the third day of the second Test. But, Kohli kept reminding Elgar about his struggle, chirping "senior batsman?", "Look at him", "You will get him stumped, Ash" from the slips.
