Preview:

In the previous match between the Jamaica Tallawahs and the St. Lucia Zouks in the CPL, the Zouks were put into bat first by the Tallawahs and had a great opening start. Johnson Charles and Andre Fletcher put on 89 runs in 10 overs for the first wicket and set the stage for the Zouks to reach a total over 200. Shane Watson scored 43 runs in 20 deliveries and ensured that the Zouks reached 206 in their 20 overs.

In reply, the Tallawahs lost their Captain, Chris Gayle at the end of the second over and could not get the momentum to chase the mammoth target set by the Zouks. Chadwick Walton stood strong and scored 54 runs in 51 deliveries that included 7 boundaries. The Tallawahs ended at 143 in their 20 overs, losing the game by a huge margin of 63 runs.

Probable Playing XI:

Jamaica Tallawahs:

Batsmen:

Chadwick Walton has been playing some good cricket for the Jamaica Tallawahs in the past few games and has scored 230 runs in 9 matches at a strike-rate of 122. Skipper Chris Gayle can be the most dangerous batsman when he gets going and the Tallawahs will hope that he finds his form soon.

Gayle has already scored a century and a fifty this season and is currently the highest run-getter for the Tallawahs this season. Kumar Sangakkara has improved a lot after his poor start in this season and has scored 236 runs in 9 matches at a strike-rate of 139.

All-rounders:

Andre Russell went for plenty against the Zouks in his previous match, conceding 64 runs in his 4 overs without picking up a single wicket. Shakib Al Hasan bowled economically, as he usually does, conceding 25 runs in his 4 overs and picking up the wicket of Johnson Charles in the process.

Bowlers:

Kesrick Williams has picked up 11 wickets in 9 matches and could prove to be a vital player against the Zouks. Imad Wasim has been bowling well for the Tallawahs in this season, picking up 7 wickets in 8 matches.

Probable XI: Chris Gayle (Captain), Chadwick Walton, Kumar Sangakkara (Wicket-keeper), Rovman Powell, Alex Ross, Andre Russel, Timroy Allen, Shakib Al Hasan, Imad Wasim, Kesrick Williams, Jon-Russ Jaggesar.

St. Lucia Zouks:

Batsmen:

West Indies player Andre Fletcher came good for the Zouks in the previous match and scored 74 runs in 49 deliveries. Johnson Charles scored yet another fifty for the Zouks and will hope to continue his sizzling form for the remainder of this season. Shane Watson seems to be doing just fine for the Zouks at the No.3 position and has now scored 241 runs in 9 matches. David Miller has been silent for the majority of this season and could come good against the Tallawahs.

All-rounders:

Skipper Darren Sammy has been an inspirational leader for the Zouks, scoring 166 runs in 9 matches and has also picked up 8 wickets in 9 matches. Grant Elliot can also bowl a few overs and keep things tight in the mid overs.

Bowlers:

Shane Watson is currently the leading wicket-taker for the Zouks, picking up 11 wickets in 9 matches. Jerome Taylor has been bowling well in the powerplay and has picked up 10 wickets in 6 games.
