Cricket is religion in India & Sachin Tendulkar is God

Nobody, just nobody, ever did what Sachin Tendulkar did today. In scoring a historic first-ever double hundred in the history of One-Day Internationals, Tendulkarmania reached a new high.

Every Indian’s status message on Facebook seemed to be on Tendulkar while every Indian’s tweet on Twitter seemed to be on the great man as he trended like no other Indian has.

But what was MOST striking was that just about every Indian hailing the great man as God. There cannot be any doubt that if cricket is religion in India, then Sachin Tendulkar is God.
