For someone who was touted as the next big thing in Indian cricket, Rayudu's career has really not taken off. His inconsistency with the bat has often frustrated the Indian fans.
Rayudu seemed to have got a new lease of life when he was selected for the England tour owing to his exemplary performance in the IPL. This joy was short-lived for he could not make it to the squad travelling to England as he failed in the yo-yo test.
At the age of 32, Rayudu is a matured and improved cricketer. He has wealth of experience by his side which can be handy in providing stability to the middle order.
