Deandra Dottin struggled for a chunk of the tournament

Deandra Dottin, West Indies’ second highest run scorer in One Day Internationals, was expected to string together some decent scores to guide the Caribbean team to the semi-finals. However, she hardly hit her straps and struggled to find form for a chunk of the tournament.

West Indies lost their first four games against Australia, India, South Africa and New Zealand, thereby crashing out of the tournament. Dottin could score only 36 runs in the four games and to make things worse, managed two ducks in those four innings.

She found some form against Pakistan and managed to pile on a century, but it was all too late by then as West Indies were already knocked out. With the ball, she was disappointing as well, conceding runs at an economy of 5.67 and picking up only one wicket in 30 overs.
