Skipper Van Niekerk gave the performance of a lifetime and made sure West Indies were not able to capitalise on some of the stability provided by Chedean Nation and Merissa Aguilleira’s brief stay together on the crease.
She picked her first and West Indies’ sixth wicket in the 20th over and 32 balls later picked her fourth and WI’s 10th. One thing which stood out was in her spell of 3.2 overs, the Proteas skipper did not give even a single run.
