The itinerary for India’s tour of South Africa was released today where India are scheduled to play the three ODIs in Johannesburg, Durban and Centurion while the two Tests would be held at Johannesburg and Durban respectively.

The Indian cricket team will arrive in South Africa on December 2, 2013 and will play the first ODI at the Wanderers on December 5. After the 3 ODIs, the Indians will play a two-day practice game in Benoni as a preparation to the first Test, which begins on December 18, also at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.

The India – South Africa series, that was under serious weather due to an impasse between the two boards, was finally confirmed on October 21. It will be India’s first overseas tour after the retirement of Sachin Tendulkar.

December 2 – India arrive in South Africa

December 5 – 1st ODI, Johannesburg

December 8 – 2nd ODI, Durban

December 11 – 3rd ODI, Centurion

December 14-15 – Two-day match, Benoni
