Virat Kohli is the only player to have played for just one franchise for 11 years.

Virat Kohli is one of the biggest stars of the IPL and Indian cricket. He is not only in contention of becoming the leading run-getter in IPL cricket but could well become the first batsman to get to the 5000-run landmark. In the last 8 seasons (since 2011), Kohli has managed to register over 500 runs in a season five times.

The Indian skipper has 4948 runs at an average of 38.35. He has struck 34 half-centuries and four hundreds in his IPL career so far. The 2016 season was a record-breaking one for him as he amassed a jaw-dropping 973 runs in the season, hitting seven fifties and four hundreds as he led the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to the final of the season.

The RCB skipper is the only player in the history of this league to have turned out for just one franchise ever since it’s inception.

#3 Suresh Raina - 35

Suresh Raina has been one of the most reliable batsmen in the history of the IPL.
Suresh Raina has been one of the most reliable batsmen in the history of the IPL.

Any IPL batting record seems incomplete without Suresh Raina. The Uttar Pradesh left-hander has been one of the most consistent players in the history of the competition.

He has been his team’s premier batsman over the last 11 seasons - nine years for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and two years in the middle (2016 and 2017 when CSK were suspended) for the Gujarat Lions (GL).

Raina has amassed a minimum of 370 runs in every season. Barring the 2012 season where he scored just one half-century, the left-handed No. 3 has scored multiple fifties in every season. With 35 fifties, he is third on this list of most fifties.
