After suffering a shocking defeat against Cape Town Blitz in their previous match, Tshwane Spartans will look to get back to the winning ways when they meet the second-placed Nelson Mandela Bay Giants in match number 23 of the Mzansi Super League 2019.
Both the teams had lost their previous fixtures. While the Spartans had lost to Blitz, Durban Heat defeated the Bay Giants by six wickets. Since Spartans and Giants could not win their last game, Paarl Rocks overtook them on the points table and occupied the top spot.
A win by a good margin would propel either of the two teams to the number 1 position. Hence, the fans are excited for this clash.

Tshwane Spartans will expect AB de Villiers to come to the party against the Bay Giants while all-rounder Chris Morris will have the onus to dismiss the danger man de Villiers.
Jon Jon Smuts has done well in the batting department for the Bay Giants but he will have to bat cautiously against the duo of Morne Morkel and Lungi Ngidi.
Nelson Mandela Bay Giants
Despite losing to Durban Heat in their previous outing, the Bay Giants should not change their squad for this game. The likes of Jason Roy, Ben Dunk, Imran Tahir and Heino Kuhn are match-winners in T20 cricket. Thus, there should be no changes.
Probable XI: Jason Roy, Ben Dunk (wk), JJ Smuts (c), Ryan ten Doeschate, Heino Kuhn, Marco Marais, Chris Morris, Onke Nyaku, Beuran Hendricks, Junior Dala, Imran Tahir
The top-order batsmen of the Spartans need to improve their game. Dean Elgar had played consistently in the first few matches but he has not played at a good strike rate. Also, Tshwane Spartans could give one last opportunity to Thenuis de Bruyn, who has scored only 98 runs in 6 games at a strike rate of 111.36.
Probable XI: Theunis de Bruyn, Dean Elgar, AB de Villiers, Heinrich Klaasen (c & wk), Petrus van Biljon, Wiaan Mulder, Tom Curran, Roelof van der Merwe, Morne Morkel, Lungi Ngidi, Lutho Sipamla
Both the teams do not have momentum by their side but since this is the start of a new week, expect them to forget about their past performance. Tshwane Spartans can win this match only if their openers play well. In case the openers fail to take advantage of the fielding restrictions, the Bay Giants would emerge victorious.
Nelson Mandela Bay Giants are expected to win this match.
