BCCI announce change in venues for India's 2025 home season vs West Indies, South Africa

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced changes in venues for the home season against West Indies and South Africa later this year. India will face the Windies and the Proteas across formats in October and November, respectively.

The second Test has been moved from the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata to the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Meanwhile, the opening Test against South Africa has been flipped from Delhi to Kolkata.

Meanwhile, the three One-Dayers for the South Africa A team have been shifted from the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

In a statement, BCCI wrote:

“Team India (Senior Men) will be facing West Indies and South Africa across Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) at home, with the IDFC First Bank Test series against West Indies starting on 2nd October 2025 in Ahmedabad. The 2nd Test against West Indies, originally slated for Kolkata, will now be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Meanwhile, the 1st Test against South Africa, starting November 14, 2025, has been shifted from New Delhi to Eden Gardens in Kolkata.”

“The South Africa Men’s A Team will face India A in two multi-day matches and three one-day games, starting October 30, 2025. The three one-day games have been moved from M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot,” it added.

WI tour of India:

1st Test: October 2-6 in Ahmedabad

2nd Test: October 10-14 in New Delhi

SA tour of India:

1st Test: Nov 14-18 in Kolkata

2nd Test: Nov 22-26 in Guwahati

The schedule for the ODI and T20I series remains unchanged.

SA-A tour of India: The three One Day(s) will be held in Rajkot on Nov 13, 16, and 19.

The Australia Men’s A Tour of India (three One-Dayers) will be held in Kanpur on September 30, October 3, and 5.

BCCI announces updated venues for Australia Women’s Tour of India

Apart from men’s fixtures, BCCI also confirmed the change in venues for Australia’s Women's Tour of India in September. The three ODIs have been shifted from the MA Chidambaram Stadium due to renovation. The first two matches will be played at the new Chandigarh Stadium, while the third and final game will be held in Delhi.

In a statement, BCCI wrote:

“Due to the revamping of the outfield and pitches at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, the IDFC First Bank ODI Series between Team India (Senior Women) and Australia Women has been moved from Chennai. The first two ODIs will now take place at the New PCA stadium in New Chandigarh, while the third and final ODI will be held at the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi.”

1st ODI: Sep 14 in New Chandigarh

2nd ODI: Sep 17 in New Chandigarh

3rd ODI: Sep 20 in New Delhi
