On Saturday, June 22, Harbour Diamonds and Sobisco Malda Smashers locked horns in the 22nd Bengal Pro T20 League 2024 match and Adamas Howrah Warriors met Murshidabad Kings in the next game.

Malda Smashers defeated Diamonds and strengthened their top spot in the Bengal Pro T20 League 2024 points table.

Lux Shyam Kolkata Tigers retained the second position with four wins in six matches.

Meanwhile, Murshidabad Kings moved from fifth to third after a convincing seven-wicket victory over Adamas Howrah Warriors.

While Rashmi Medinipur Wizards dropped to fourth with three wins in six games, the Warriors also descended to fifth spot, having won three games and losing as many.

Servotech Siliguri Strikers and Shrachi Rarh Tigers occupy the next two positions with four points each.

The Diamonds sit at the bottom of the table and continue their six-match losing streak after a narrow two-run loss against the Smashers.

Malda Smashers continues to lead as Harbour Diamonds loses six in a row

Harbour Diamonds and Sobisco Malda Smashers met in the first game of the day.

Malda Smashers batted first and posted a 174-run target for the loss of seven wickets. The major contributions were from Writtick Chatterjee 37(21), Writam Porel 36(31), and Ayan Bhattacharjee’s 10-ball 31-run knock. Subham Sarkar and Anurag Tiwari picked up two wickets for the Diamonds.

While chasing, Diamond's top-order was dismissed inside three overs. However, the middle order struggled to reach the target but fell short by just two runs. Poonish Mehta’s 42-run inning of 20 deliveries was the one to watch out for.

Ramesh Manohar Prasad, Writtick Chatterjee, and Geet Puri secured two wickets each for the Smashers.

In the second game, Murshidabad Kings bowled Howrah Warriors out to 124/10. Nitin Verma picked up a three-wicket haul while Toufik uddin Mondal and Vikas Singh took two wickets each.

In reply, Koushik Ghosh’s 37 and Aditya Purohit’s 35-ball 56-run knock helped Murshidabad to achieve the target in 17.5 overs. Pramod Chandila bagged a couple of wickets for the Warriors.
