With three ICC titles, including the ODI and T20I World Cups, Dhoni remains the most successful captain in India's history. Under his leadership, Team India also became the World No.1 side in Test cricket for the first time. He led India to 179 international wins as skipper, an Indian record.

Dhoni played 538 matches for India across formats. The wicketkeeper-batter amassed 17,266 runs. The Ranchi-born player was excellent in ODIs, scoring 10,773 runs in 350 ODIs with the help of 10 centuries and 73 fifties. He’s only the sixth Indian batter to score 10,000 runs in the 50-over format.
