Weather disrupts day of cricket at Global T20 Canada 2024

Toronto Nationals won the toss against Montreal Tigers in the 12th match and elected to bowl. The Tigers lost two wickets in the very first over of their innings. They scored 25 runs for the loss of two wickets in two overs before the match was interrupted due to rain and was ultimately abandoned. Dilpreet Bajwa made 18 runs off just six deliveries. Jason Behrendorff took both the wickets for Toronto and gave away just four runs in the only over he bowled.

In the second match of the day, Surrey Jaguars won the toss and asked Vancouver Knights to bat. The Knights lost their first wicket in the second over of their innings at a time when they had 19 runs on the board. The match could run till just five overs and had the same ending as the first game. Logan van Beek took the only wicket for the Jaguars.
