The 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will see the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) face the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Friday, April 19.

Defending champions CSK began their campaign brightly by winning two consecutive games before going down to the Delhi Capitals and the SunRisers Hyderabad in the next two. The Super Kings then bounced back to win their next two games and currently sit third in the standings with eight points from six games.

LSG, on the other hand, lost their IPL 2024 opener but bounced back to win three games on the trot. In their next match at home, Lucknow were stunned by the Capitals before they went down to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens.

With three wins and as many defeats in six games, the Super Giants will be desperate to turn their campaign around. Thus, their game against CSK will be exciting to watch for fans.

Speaking of the weather conditions in Lucknow on Friday night, it will be hot with temperatures ranging between 31 and 37 degrees Celsius. However, the humidity levels will be on the lower side, meaning the actual feeling would be a degree or two less than the original temperature.

The skies will also remain clear with very minimal cloud cover and there is no chance of rainfall during the game.

What is the head-to-head record between LSG and CSK in the IPL?

Lucknow have been one of the most consistent sides since they joined the league in 2022, making it to the playoffs on both occasions. Chennai, on the other hand, have won the title five times.

The two teams have met each other three times, with both teams winning once, while the other game ended in a no result.
