Sarwan returns for Australia ODIs

St. John’s - The West Indies selectors have recalled experienced batsman Ramnaresh Sarwan for next month’s limited overs tour of Australia.

The 32-year-old right hander has not played for the West Indies in nearly 19 months owing to poor form and fitness, and a strained relationship with regional authorities, CMC reports.

He joins a 15-man squad that will be led by Darren Sammy and which includes young uncapped Barbadian seamer Jason Holder.

The tour runs from Jan 29 to Feb 13 and comprises five One-Day Internationals and a single Twenty20.
