Sehwag, Gambhir and Zaheer to play for India A

Gautam Gambhir and Zaheer Khan, who were both dropped from the Test squad late last year, and Virender Sehwag, who played his last Test in March, have all been recalled to play for the India A squad against West Indies A later this month.

The players were removed from the team as a result of inconsistent performances. They can now heave a sigh of relief as they have been offered a chance to prove their worth to get back into the national team.

Former Indian player Mohammad Kaif and promising stars Abhishek Nayar and Dhawal Kulkarni also feature in the squad.

India A is scheduled to play three four-day matches against West Indies A starting at the end of this month. However, the schedule for the first match clashes with the Champions League T20 tournament.
