Sreesanth to act in a Malayalam film
S Sreesanth, the former Indian fast bowler, who is now infamous for his alleged role in spot-fixing scandal will soon be seen acting in a Malayalam film, the shooting of which is likely to commence soon.
Sreesanth, who is currently out on bail, was arrested in May by Delhi police on charges of spot-fixing, and said he always wanted to act in a movie and is “excited” with his new film.
“It will not be easy as cricket,” the Kerala lad said.
The film directed by Balachandra Kumar is yet to be named officially, but it is tentatively titled ‘Big Picture’.
Sreesanth has acted in Malayalam films before as well. He had a guest role in Malayalam lyricist Kaithaparam Damodaran Namboodiri’s film ‘Mazhavillinattam vare’ , but his role was removed from the movie after revelations of the spot-fixing scandal.
