India held onto a draw in the series opener at Johannesburg

The Wanderers stadium at Johannesburg continues to remain as one of the four favourite overseas venues for India. Infact, India are the only visiting team that maintain an undefeated record at the stadium. Although Australia have a much better head-to-head record at the venue against South Africa, having won 6 of the 11 matches.
