Arjun, the 20-year-old son of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, was recently in the news for being chosen in the squad for the Mumbai Under-23 side in the Under-23 Col. CK Nayudu Trophy. Last year, Arjun was part of the 15-member Mumbai squad for the ‘Bapuna Cup’, a pre-season tournament organised by the Vidarbha Cricket Association.

In May 2019, Arjun got some media coverage after he made an impressive debut in the Mumbai T20 League at the Wankhede Stadium. Playing for Aakash Tigers MWS against Triumphs Knights MNE, the left-arm pacer claimed 1 for 21 in three overs as Knights posted 147.

Batting at number three, Arjun contributed with the ball as well, hitting 23 from 19, including one huge six. The Tigers won the contest by five wickets.

In June 2019, Arjun produced a fantastic delivery to clean up Surrey 2nd XI batsman Nathan Tilley while turning out for MCC Young Cricketers in the Second XI Championship in England. The wicket was tweeted by Lord's Cricket Ground's official Twitter handle with the caption "Arjun Tendulkar, take a bow!"

Earlier, in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy in November 2018, Arjun claimed 5 for 30 as Mumbai defeated Gujarat. He also picked up 3 in 14 in the team’s win over Assam.

One really doesn't need to write anything about his superstar dad. With 15,921 Test runs and 18,426 in ODIs, Tendulkar holds the record for most runs in both formats.
