Batsman Rohan Kanhai became one of the greatest run scorers for the West Indies in the years preceding their great years under Clive Lloyd and to this day, his delightful stroke making remains a matter of great joy for anyone who watched him play.

Kanhai, who went on to become a Guyanese legend, scored 15 centuries and 28 half-centuries in 79 games for the West Indies in the years between 1957 and 1974, to become one of the best batsmen to have ever played for the Calypso Kings.

During his career with Guyana, he was equally productive and score plenty of runs in a first-class career that lasted around 22 years. In 421 games, he scored a staggering 86 centuries at an average of 49.40.
