Prayas Barman and Indian U19 cricketer Ishan Porel shared 7 wickets between them as Bengal folded J and K under 100 and won the game with close to 30 overs to spare. Barring Mohammed Madhasir, none of the Jammu players could cross 20, ending their innings at 96.

Priyank Panchal starred for Gujarat helping them notch up a 4 wicket win over Tamil Nadu at Chennai. For TN, Baba Indrajith was the top scorer, while Indian discard Piyush Chawla grabbed 3 wickets. Indrajith got support from Vijay Shankar and Abhinav Mukund but the total wasn’t enough as a stuttering Gujarat chased it down in 47 overs.

Out of favour left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem created a world record by picking up an astonishing 8 wickets against Jharkhand. He broke Rahul Sanghvi’s 2-decade old record to end with figures of 10-4-10-8.

"I didn't know until some people told me that I had broken the world record. It feels really good to play for the state (team) and do well and help it win matches," he later told PTI.
