Kohli bows down to Sachin Tendulkar upon conquering Pakistan in the 2016 World T20

After India had lifted the 2011 World Cup on an emotional night in Mumbai, Kohli was among those who carried Sachin Tendulkar on his shoulders during the victory march. He reasoned, “Sachin has carried the burden of the nation for 21 years, it was time we carried him.”

Almost five years since then, Tendulkar had ridden off into the sunset with Kohli taking over the mantle as India’s star batsman.
