Wake up Yuvi, its high time
Yuvraj Singh is an extraordinary talent which is in the danger of getting lost in the flashing lights of glamour or in the dark well of indiscipline. A prolific batsman , a clever bowler , a cheetah-like agile fielder yet struggling for a birth in Indian ODI even after 10 years of international cricket. Clearly , the mind-blowing statistics themselves must be telling yuvraj to sit calmly and think what actually went wrong which forced one of the flawless hitters of cricket ball to bear the brunt of media and fans alike. I am sure , attitude , indiscipline and lack of commitment would be the themes, around which the answers to the above mentioned questions would revolve.
If we talk about talent and potential only, Yuvraj Singh can be compared to the greatest of the greats in the world cricket but the only difference between them and yuvi is, they have nurtured their own talent with a lot of commitment , discipline and hardwork and Yuvi has simply wasted his time and efforts in useless activities.
Yuvraj singh is one of the few cricketers in today’s cricketing world who lone can handle wreak havoc against most formidable bowling line ups. Who can forget his blazing inning in 2007 World Twenty20 in which he hit six sixes in an over against England’s Stuart Broad—a feat performed just thrice, previously in any form of senior cricket, and never ever in an international match between two Test cricket nations. Yuvraj Singh is capable of the greatest achievements, only if he channels all his energy and commitment in the right direction.
I think , it’s high time that India’s great batsmen like Sachin Tendulkar [ The legend himself] , Sourav ganguly, Rahul Dravid and many more advice yuvraj, on how he must take his career forward and focus better. If he does not get back to the track soon, it might be really late. It would be the greatest interest of Indian cricket if Yuvraj Singh can strongly move out of this lean period and really do an Image Makeover from an impulsive hard-hitter to a reliable hard-hitter.
