What's the worst cricket score you've ever seen? Wirral CC all-out on 3 is the craziest!

We’ve seen some poor scorecards over the last couple of days in IPL, and England cricket’s poor form has been seen over the past few months, but this is just stretching it a bit too far!

Wirral CC, a team competing in Cheshire League Third Division match in north-west England, were all out for just 3 runs against Haslington yesterday!

It gets weirder still, when you get to know that the highest score in their innings – 2 runs – came off extras! The lone run off the bat was made by their Number 11, Connor Hodson, supposedly their worst batsman.

Haslington won the match by 105 runs, after scoring what they had thought initially, a lowly 108. Indeed, Wirral’s utter surrender must have come as a surprise for them too. Indeed, it was an achievement of sorts for Wirral to get a couple of runs on board after being 0/8 at one point of time!

Wirral CC’s official Twitter handle took all the banter in good humour though, even asking a few England legends for some coaching to their batsmen.

Even Piers Morgan, beaten and bruised by a Brett Lee attack during Ashes Down Under, thought it’ll be a mismatch if he competed against Wirral CC.

Skipper Peter Clewes, quite obviously, wasn’t so happy with his team’s performance.
